Neil Smith was once again the honorary MC for the highly popular Boer War Day commemorative activities at the Melbourne Shrine Of Remembrance at midday on Sunday 26th May 2024. A parade, static and mobile displays, period uniforms, bands and a Secret Guest Speaker followed by light refreshments were the order of the day.
Descendants of veterans and the general public are always most welcome. It is not yet clear what the arrangements will be for 2025 apart from the day being 25th May, as the location in the Shrine grounds will differ a little and there will be a notable guest in attendance.
